Jan Haul 2016

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all well, I am so sorry I have had to leave the blog hop and haven't been uploading as much as I said I would. Life has taken a bad turn and I have been dealing with some personal issues. I am now in a place where I can start my goal of a more regular blog/vlog/tutorial schedule. Here is my order for the month of January.

I am helping my best friend with her daughters 13th birthday party so a lot of my videos will be using the 'it;s my party' collection.

Here is the full list of supplies I have bought this month -

Men's Big Birthday

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well. I have a quick card project for you today, this is one I made for a very special BIG birthday. I know it's super hard to make male cards as we are always drawn to the colours, patterns, embellishments we like (aka girls things). So I am really happy with how this one turned out.

This project is also great for new years, christmas and can be used for any occasion or any gender really. It's neutral which makes if versitile. I know we all need cards for different occasions so just swap out the sentiments and main image and boom! You have an anything card!

Here's my supply list -

PLEASE NOTE THAT MY CONVERSION MEASUREMENTS ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TO THE EXACT CONVERSION IN ORDER TO MAKE THE PROJECT EASIER TO MAKE. :-)

The card is basic black in a standard 4X6 inch (10cmX15cm) base. I have layered whisper white under the vellum and hidden the glue dots under the black stripes on the vellum so you can't see them when looking. I find the whisper white layer underneath really makes the vellum POP on this design. The vellum and whisper white on the basic black base measures 3.5X5.5 inch (9cmX14cm).

My second whisper white layer was 2X5.5 inch (5cmX14cm). The second vellum was 1.5X5.5 inch (4cmX14cm). Again I have hidden the glue dots with the black stripes. I used dimentionals on the whisper white and I used snail on the first two layers.

I used a random piece of whisper white I had left over and used the envelope punch board to create the indents on all 4 corners. I created a template of the number 5 and 0. I then stuck them to the white piece with a small amount of snail. I sponged over the numbers with basic grey and pulled off the template numbers, leaving the outline as seen in the pictures.

I stamped 'happy birthday' from the teeny tiny sentiments onto some whisper white and punched it out with the word window. I then sponged the edges with basic grey. I simply attached that to the small white 50 with washi tape. I used dimentionals to attached the white 50 to the second piece of vellum. I added an enamel dot to the bottom corner as well.

My inside whisper white layer was the same as my bas whisper white on the front. 3.5X5.5 inch (9cmX14cm). I then stamped the same happy birthday, added some washi tape to the bottom corner and an enamel dot.

I hope you like this project! I also hope our Uncle likes it!

Simple and Special Part 2

Hello everyone,

Hope your well. Todays post is part 2, it goes along with the card I published yesterday. I hope you like it!

I used the same supplies and made a simple box. I used the small circle punch to make the little grab bits on the sides. This makes it easier to get the lid off the box. This box was made to hold something special but I am not sharing that yet!

Supplies I used -
Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

The black base was 3,5X4 inch (9cmX10cm) the whisper white lid was just a tiny bit bigger than that. Short side - Score at 1inch, 2.5inch, (2.75cm, 6cm) and long side - 1inch, 3inch (2.75, 7.25cm)

I cut up the sides and stuck the base and lid together with fast fuse. The corners I cut were the ones on the shoertest sides of the base and lid.

I added a piece of vellum the same size as the lid and hide the glue dots under the sentiment. I stamped my sentiment and punched it with the word window and then attached that with dimensionls. I added washi tape around the sides and added rhinestones to the sentiment after sponging the edges. I also cut out a bit off 2 sides of the lid to make a gap for taking the lid off easily.

Hope you liked it!

Much love

Simple and Special PArt 1

Hellow fellow crafters,

This is part 1 or 2 projects coming to you this week. I have got a week of non christmas projects as I know first hand December still has birthdays and other non christmas events. I myself am a December baby and have lots of December birthdays and it's also my wedding anniversary.

I have had a chest infection and let life get so on top of me I haven't given myself enough time to make all of the cards and gifts I have wanted to. I have made all of the ones that customers have ordered but not actually left myself time for my own, meaning my loved ones have gotten shop bought cards if their cards weren't made a few months ago!

After christmas I am going to get back on top of my time management. Anyway, I hope you like this next project.

This is a super simple and elegant cardy. My sizes and layers are similar to tomorrows project. It's a 4X6 inch base (10cmX15cm). My vellum layer is the same length but 0.5inch (1cm) narrower. The whisper white layer is the same again. The vellum is attached with glue dots hidden under the gold snowflakes or other layers.

I cut a word window hole out with the happy birthday stamped, punched out and stuck with down on the base with snail. I then attached the whisper white layer with dimentionals to create a box effect around the sentiment. I coloured the rhinestones in with a pink sharpie and stuck them in two clusters of 3.

I added some washi tape at the top and left the front at that. I stuck inside the card the same size whisper white with some washi tape at the bottom of that and the same happy birthday sentiment. I don't think you have to have all of the supplies and goodies to make beautiful things. This series shows that to you I hope.

Much love

HERE IS MY TAKE ON THIS WEEKS DESIGN -

AS I USED A RETIRED DSP TO CREATE THE DOTS AT THE BOTTOM OF MY CARD, HERE IS A PRODUCT LIST SUGGESTION SO YOU TOO, CAN CREATE DOTS ON YOUR PROJECT! THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS YOU CAN DO THIS BUT HERE IS A FEW IDEAS FROM THE STAMPIN' UP! CATALOGUES -

BELOW YOU WILL FIND MY PRODUCT LIST -

BUILT FOR FREE USING: MY STAMPIN BLOG

FROM THE PICTURES YOU CAN SEE I STARTED WITH A PUMPKIN PIE BASE MEASURING 4X8 INCHES (10CMX20CM). I ROUNDED THE CORNERS AND ADDED A WHISPER WHITE PANEL.

THE I LAYERED A THINNER LAYER OF PUMPKIN PIE DSP (RETIRED). I ADDED SOME WHISPER WHITE ORGANZA RIBBON AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE DSP AND I THEN TIED A BOW. THE DSP HAS ROUNDED CORNERS AS WELL.

I SPONGED ALL THE EDGES AND ALSO CUT OUT A OVAL AND SPONGED THAT WITH SMOKEY SLATE. THE OVAL IS TRACED FROM A WORD DOC TEMPLATE OF AN OVAL AS I DO NOT OWN ANY SU OVAL PUNCHES/DIES YET!!!

I COLOURED 3 LARGE AND 2 SMALL RHINESTONES WITH AN ORANGE SHARPIE AND ADDED THEM TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OVAL. I HAVE LEFT IT WITHOUT A SENTIMENT AT THE MOMENT AS I AM NOT SURE WHAT I WANT TO USE IT FOR. THIS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR THOSE UNEXPECTED OCCASIONS, ALL I NEED TO DO IS STAMP A SENTIMENT THEN IT'S DONE!

HOPE YOU LIKE THIS SUPER SIMPLE CARD THIS WEEK. I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY THAT I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TIME. THIS PORJECT WAS MADE IN 30MIN AND THAT INCLUDES DESIGNING IT! IF I WAS TO MAKE ANY MORE FROM THIS TEMPLATE I COULD BASH THEM OUT IN 15MIN!

This weeks sketch -
This is my project as inspired by this weeks sketch, I went with a pillow box this time instead of a card.

Today's project is a very different interretation of the sketch. It is also really quick to make. I made this in under 30min and that includes designing it on the spot and 'winging it'. I die cut 2 pieces of rich razzleberry with the pillow box die. I then cut 2 pieces out with the squares that come with that die. I cut one large and one small. I also cut a large square from the centre of one of the pillow box sides. This then became my front.

I stamped the middle size snowflake from flurry of wishes in whisper white craft ink. I think this looks nice and simple but also has a pop at the same time. I also stamped on the large and small squares with the same stamp and ink.

I cut a piece of window sheet and stuff that to the inside of the box with glue dots, this was to cover up the hole I cut in the front panel. This added another layer of dimension. I then stuck both sides of the box together with fast fuse. A couple of the corners needed an extra glue dot to keep the box realy sturdy and secure.

I wrapped a piece of whisper white organza ribbon around the lower half with the two ends meeting at the window sheet. I stuck these down with a glue dot and then covered that up with the 2 squares I had cut and stamped on. These were added with dimensionals and I off set layered them onto the front.

I didn't add a sentiment this time as I thought the snowflakes were enough to make the project pop. This way I can add a sentiment once I am ready to use it as well. This is a good sized box and will fit a variety of things inside for Christmas.

As always I will be honest and share I used Tim Holtz scissors and my Tim Holtz Vagabond die machine but I have included a link to the Stampin' Up! options. I would prefer to use them as your all know but sadly my disability won't allow it.

Team Penguin

Hi Lovelies,

Hope you are all well? Tonight I have a quick last minute blog to go along with my random video posted tonight. I found a stamped image of penguins in my stash from when I was playing a couple weeks back and I decided not to waste it and to make a gift I have named 'Team Penguin Gift Tag'. I hope you all enjoy.

The supplies you will need are -
Glue dots - 103683
Snow Place stamp set - 139738
Acrylic Block - E 118484
Home for Christmas Enamel Dots - 140536
Cherry cobbler cardstock - 123125
Real Red Pom Pom Trim - 139617
Whisper White cardstock - 106549
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - Pad • 132708 Refill • 133456
Snail adhesive - SNAIL • 104332 Refill (12 m) • 104331
Project Life Corner Punch - 135346
Hole punch/Crop-o-dile - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/We-R-Memory-Keepers-Crop-A-Dile-Punch-Kit-9084-/321867264705?hash=item4af0c8b2c1:g:KMYAAOSwEetV-XLI

Dimension conversion - http://www.onlineconversion.com/length_common.htm

You'll need -
Whisper white - 5.5 inch x 2.75 inch or 14cm x 7cm
Cherry cobbler - 6 inch x 3.5 inch or 15.25cm x 9
Whisper white - 6 inch x 2.75 inch or 15.25cm x 7cm

Stamp 5 penguins onto the smallest sheet of whisper white using the masking technique to hide them all behind each other. The adhere the smallest layer of white onto the cherry cobbler and the larger white onto the other side with snail adhesive.

Make sure you round the corners of your small white and cherry cobbler sheets of cardstock. The use a hole punch and make a hole in one of the corners through all three layers. Put your pom pom trim through the hole, now make sure you use some force as the pom pom won't want to go through the hole. Then use glue dots and stick down the pom pomsto cover up the hole you made. Simply cut the length to your requirements and then adhere the end of that pom pom onto the tag aw well.

Now cut a smaller piece of whisper white (do what every meansurements you like), sponge the edges with cherry cobbler and add a sentiment, stick this down with snail as well.

I then added a christmas enamel dot onto the front of my tag. You can embellish however you would like. Have fun with it! This is simply a starting point for you to run with and tailer to your needs.

Have fun everyone!

So this weeks challenge is in Old olive and the extra bits of whisper white and some mossy meadow washi tape. I have went for a lot of tone on tone this time round but I love it! This is my first ever ONLY Stampin' Up! product card project. I have done lots of projects that are mainly SU but this is my first ever only SU one. As I am selling my non SU things this has been a great encouragement to keep collecting and seeing the difference in quality with SU products verses other brands is amazing.

I have went with a simple birthday theme as I feel birthdays are always coming up and we can always do with a few more birthday cards in the draw for those moments when Facebook reminds us it's our Auntie's birthday or Father-in-law etc.

This design is inspired by our sketch created by the lovely Simply Sketched group. I have done a lot of layering for this card, I used the largest hole punch to create my smaller circles at the left side of my centre piece. The 2 inch circle punch for my larger circle, the two smallest star dies in the stars die set, two old olive scallope tags and one whisper white tag, I heat embossed with white powder 'happy birthday' from the teeny tiny sentiments stamp set and then stuck the piece of card into the old olive ink pad. Then I rubbed off the ink from the heat embossing and that made it stand out much better on the whisper white. I simply cut both ends with scissors, nothing fancy there.

My card base is 4 inches x 6 inches that's 10 cm x 15cm roughly. I then cut my whisper white layer 0.5 inches smaller on both sides or 1 cm smaller. My three tags are 2 inches x 5.75 inches that's 6cm x 14.5cm roughly. I stamped old olive speckles onto the whisper white with the gorgeous grunge stamp set, I also stamped that onto my two stars and three little circles. I used the lines pattern for that.

I heat embossed the sentiment and the large circle with the white emboss powder. I sponged all the edges with old olive ink and added some mossy meadow washi tape. I popped on a small bow with some whisper white organza ribbon to the right of the centre.

I really haven't mixed up my colours but I think all the layers and different shapes really makes this card pop. This is a very different design and style for me and I am loving being pushed out of my comfort zone!!

To You and Your Kit

Hi crafters, artists, demos and friends,

How are we all? So I have finally gotten round to photographing and writing up my most recent projects, as I have said before I am going to be putting up 2 blog posts and 3 videos ever week plus my newsletter once a month!

Today you will need the To You and Yours shaker card kit from Stampin' Up! - 139647
Matching To You and Yours stamp set - 139819
Cucumber crush ink pad - 138324
Crushed curry ink pad - 131173
Memento Tuxedo black ink pad - Pad • 132708 Refill • 133456
Fine tip glue pen - 138309

This kit doesn't need a great deal of explaining as it comes with step by step instructions, I however forgot to order the matching stamp set so I mixed and matched the ones I had to create the closest look I could find to the origional. I think this is a great kit for on the go or anyone needing to mass produce a lot of cards.

I personally didn't know where to start this year when it came to designing my cards so this kit gave m,e the creative push and inspiration I needed! It may even be ordered again! But shhhhh and don't tell anyone!

I found all of the products within the kit to be the same high quality we have begun to expect from Stampin' Up! That's right, they 100% did NOT disappoint with this kit in the holiday mini catalogue (autumn/winter catalogue).

I have included a picture of all of my cards so you can see where I have swapped things a little to work with the stamps I have. I also used the fine tip glue pen on this project for the first time and it is fantastic! I did however pack once of my cards away too early and the sequin fell off, I will fix that before sending the card but I think it's good for you to see my errors as well as successes! But basically just give it enough drying time and you are all set.

I have no idea why this is upside down but the error is on the bottom right hand corner which is the top right as the picture is upside down! LOLLLLLL

The kit makes 18 cards in total and includes the envelopes which is great as I hate going through my envelope draw to try and match a card up. It is my fault as I have organised a very good system yet! I will get there. I am currently bagging up my NON SU stuff to sell and buy more SU product! I can't wait!

I will add a slide show to my YouTube channel displaying all the cards, they are also on our Facebook page and groups. If you would like to order the supplies for this simply email me! charley.w.zakrzewski@gmail.com

Creating with a Difference Forum

Hello lovelies!

How are we all?? I have been busy making christmas cards today and planning, prepping for some videos coming your way in the next 2 weeks. I hope you like them all and my new set up will improve the quality!!

Here is a little sneak peak! I will be adding some better shots of all the cards I made but as I haven't shared in a while I thought a little spoiler would keep you in suspense! I have been using Cherry Cobbler cardstock, marker and ink pad. I have also been using the bobble trim I am in love with which I think is Real Red.

My stamp sets are some new ones and some retired but I just love them so couldn't not use them! I am also using up all my NON Stampin' Up! supplies which is where the red glitter embellishment comes from. They are no longer sold as they are from an old old old craft shop that closed maybe 2 years ago, yes folks I hoard for that long!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/creatingwithadifferenceforum/

I have just started a group for artists and crafters with disabilities and health conditions, that is rightfully name Creating With A Difference Forum! It's a safe place where every one can share their pages, lives and support each other.

The group is growing day and day and I am so excited to be able to 'house' all these talented artists, photographers, bakers and crafters in one place. I have also managed to get myself some new Stampin' Up! customers along the way which has been fantastic.

I have also bought some new equipment to film my YouTube videos so I am super excited for that! I have my photography set up down now for taking my craft shots! I still can't believe I didn't think earlier to give my creations better imagagry to go along with them! I know that souns stupid coming from a photography student but I done real life not that kind of photography so I gues my brain just didn't click! Anyway I have now so onwards and upwards.

I am managing to juggle family life, student life and the busy working woman's life (with 2 businesses) quite well atm! I have also done all of my christmas shopping! Who could do better I ask?? I also have a horrendous UTI and no angels working this week as they are all off sick. I'm on fire in the best way!

Once I start earning from my businesses I will be able to set things up with HMRC! I am so excited and also confused on the tax thing so I will keep you all posted as and when I learn what I am doing! I think it's good to all share this together. Plus I will need to have another meeting with employment support so they can help with all this. Apparently I am one of the first people to actually want to work and not just attend through fear of losing benefits.

I will be doing 2 blog posts, 3 YouTube videos per week and 1 newsletter per month for both my Creating with a Difference life and Charleyz Angelz life! I hope you all enjoy, signing off now!

Take care

xoxo

Thanks Facebook

Hello fellow crafters, artists, friends and family,

Today I am sharing an older project because with the loss of our eldest son Bertie I haven't had chance to get on top of things. Bertie was our Yorkshire terrier, he was 2 years old and was suffering with ongoing stomach and gastro issues.

I have used the age awareness stamp set, old olive bakers twine, a retired paper stack and some other odds and ends from my craft stash. I love this stamp set, I used it on a card for my Auntie and I think it turned out great. I didn't have numbers in my stamp stash at the time so hand wrote it. This isn't something I like doing as I don't have great handwriting but it's better than nothing.

I got the butterfly cards from Hobbycraft - http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/white-butterfly-lace-card-blanks-15-x-15-cm-10-pack/561621-1001

As you can see I simply layered up all my mats and then used double sided tape (138995) to adhere them all together. I used dimensional (104430) on my yellow layer on the outside to make it pop up. I went around my sentiment with the paper piercing pack from SU. I then put 3 candy dots at top and bottom from the brights collection.

I masked off the card leaving the butterflies exposed and sponged them with old olive ink. I removed the mask and then added some bakers twine along the top with a bow. In the centre of the bow I added a rhinestone to add some pop and dimension.

Inside the card I added my sentiment in black and stuck that down with tape. I then popped a corner stamp in all four corners. That was my card complete. It was a A5 size card and they came with matching envelopes. I added the inside corner stamp to the envelope but I forgot to take pictures of that.

Hope you enjoyed this brief run down of an older project. I will have some more coming your way next week. I am awaiting my seasonal catalogue items to come.

Much love
