This weeks class was my favourite I think! We sat in the garden and had some ice cream cones when we were finished. We used the gift box punch board this week as I will be doing a 3 part class demonstrating all 3 punch boards that we have available.
I cut our DSP to 8 inches x 8 inches and followed the instructions on the board. I will be doing a video in the next month so keep your eyes peeled! Check the bottom of this post for a link to my crafty YouTube Channel.
As you can see from the picture below (I forgot to take one so used this one I found on google images) that the board has clear instructions and the measurements are in inches and cm.
I have circle in black which size and steps I did to create this design. I decided on this size as it's a good size which would suit many different occasions. I was mainly thinking of party favours, teacher gifts, small presents you buy on holiday, a 'I'm thinking of you' gift. It also doesn't need any adhesive and they store flat so you can make a batch of them and keep them safe without needing loads of space.
Here is a link to convert the paper size to whatever format you like:
I used a simple white ribbon as we used very colourful DSP and we wanted them to be the focus. Sadly the DSP and ribbon have retired but there are so many other options in the catalogue I know you'll find something else you love. We used the 1 3/4" circle punch and 2" circle punch and layered them together with a dimensional. I sponged the edges of the circles before layering them and I also stamped my sentiment first as well. I went with simple basic black so again the DSP was the focus.
I used a sentiment from the Grateful Bunch set but I masked off the 'and' on it with a sticky note. I liked it without the 'and' as I thought that wouldn't work as a stand alone sentiment.
As you can see my customers changed up the colours and added some bling bling. That's what I love about class one design turns out differently for each person as they make some changes and add their own take onto it.
I think there is nothing better than sitting in the garden when the sun is going down so it's not too hot, crafting, eating and having a giggle with friends. I really believe all my customers are friends and for that I am so grateful to stampin' up! for giving me a passion for creativity and a chance to meet new people.
Here is a list of supplies and some suggestions to replace the retired items:
