Pootles August Birthday Blog Hop

10! 10! 10!

Hello lovely people!

Today I am part of Pootles Birthday Blog Hop. This month is a big one for me, I have 5 special birthdays and 1 other occasion so lots of cards to choose from for the hop. In the end I have went with this beautiful A5 card I made for my nephew.

In our family turning 'double digits' is a HUGE deal. I don't know if everyone's families are like that but we are. The other extra special thing is that I get to share my boy with his Mum far more than most Auntie's. I am proud to say I have a large role in his life so I thought he deserved an extra special card.

Almost all of the products are current except the bugs stamp set which has retired. I am sure a lot of you still have it or can swap it out for another one. The great thing about inspiration and tutorials is the fact you can take the design and structure and make

I simply scored an A4 sheet of whisper white thick in half. I used real red and added a panel that was the full length of the card and 3 inches wide. That's 7.62cm. I stamped with real red onto another sheet of whisper white and stuck that along the bottom leaving a small gap as you can see. The piece measured the full width of the card and 3 inches wide. That's 7.62cm.

I added a scrap of foiled acetate onto the right hand side underneath the read and white card. Before sticking everything down I stamped on the art easel and hand cut out the middle leave a hole for the die cut 1 and 0 to sit. I stamped on them with basic black using the painters palette. My 1 and 0 are from the number of years set we have.

I used to bow and Dimensionals as my adhesives with this project and just layered things up how I bought they looked good. He is a massive Arsenal fan hence the red everywhere. I hand cut out a couple bugs to go onto the letter and tthat's it really.

Hope you like it!

Here is the link for the other posts in the hop. Please go and show them some love, follow, subscribe and all that good stuff. They are all wonderful people and projects.
