Pretty Kitty Watercolour Card

Pretty Kitty Watercolour Card

Hello lovely followers and fellow crafters! I hope you are doing well. Sadly my husband is in hospital with pneumonia so my YouTube videos will be missing this coming week. I hope you can forgive me, my classes have been cancelled for the last 3 weeks as well. I have been posting all the instructions and goodies to my lovely ladies.

I have managed to make a few cards to last the blog whilst he is in hospital but anything else is on the back burner. Hope you can all forgive me. My subscribers and views have been growing daily on my YouTube and your support has been amazing. I want to take this time to thank you.

So today’s project is a layer of love! I am practising my watercolour skills, we have so much to offer for water colouring in the catalogue so I want to get better. That way I can utilise the brilliant products and offer you all more of a variety with the project tutorials.

You are all going to hate me but the glimmer paper and DSP I am using is retired so you can’t get it anymore. But we have many other patterns and glimmer paper choices for you to recreate this design. You may also have those supplies left in your stash like me.

This card is A6 – 4in x 6in or 10cm x 15cm. The base is a sheet of basic grey cut in half and scored in half to make a portrait tent fold card.

Each layer is ¼ of an inch shorter and narrower or 1/2cm.

The water colour paper is cut down another ½ inch or 1cm shorter and narrower. I then simply cut it diagonally.
I used markers, blender pen, aqua painters and wink of Stella to colour with. I used my clear blocks as palettes. I coloured some ink onto the block, added water from the aqua painter and laid my card stock into the ink. This made a one of a kind watercolour wash. The wink of Stella I mixed in added a wonderful sparkle fit for a queen.

My sentiments and image are from the Pretty Kitty stamp set. I stamped the kitty and sentiments in basic black, the sunshine is in daffodil delight. I also added the tabs for everything stamp set to get the small sentiments and sunshine.

I really love how this turned out. As always here are the products I use and the suggestions for the things that have now retired.

All my links are down below so go and check those out. REMEMBER TO USE THAT HOSTESS CODE TO GET FREE GOODIES ON ALL ORDERS UNDAR £150. IF YOU'RE OVER IT THEN YOU BECOME THE HOSTESS!! YOU GET THE GOODIES!!!

Lots of love
