Quick Thank You Card

Quick Thank You Card

Hello World Wide Web, how we all this fine Sunday afternoon? I hope you are well and those been affected by some of the world disasters, hurricanes, terror attacks etc please know you are in my thoughts.

I will be doing an event for charity next month. I am making a series of Halloween cards and donating all money made to help those affected by the hurricanes.

Today's projects are 5 really quick and easy thank you cards. I used some of my scraps and made 5 very special thank you cards. These were given to 5 of the people helping my husband and I with our mini doc! There are and will be more details on this blog and our other blog Let's Chat Disability. Search for us on Facebook.

All my card bases are 4X6 inches that's 10X15cm. I used emerald envy, crushed curry or perhaps a retired colour and whisper white for my bases. Sorry I made these cards last minute, didn't write down supplies and used scraps so it's hard to remember the colours completely.

I used dapper denim, basic grey, emerald envy, elegant eggplant and soft suede for these cards. I used some current and retired enamel shapes for embellishments. Dimensionals behind some layers and the rest glued with tombow. I didn't cut any of the layers down they were all scraps I pieced together to make some mats and layers on my cards. Once a month I go through my box of scraps, punched bits, samples etc and make some cards. This is one of the batches I have made and Thursday you will see the rest of them.

I used swirly bird, timeless textures and many thanks stamp sets. I just put the pieces into groups and made some rough plan for what layers, colours etc. Then I started sticking and stamping and this is what happened.

I made these whilst watching a film with my husband. I find it my best creative work to limit the colours, bits, stamps and see what happens. I challenge you to do the same. Collect all your 'extra' bits into a box and see what you can create after a month or few weeks.

As always I have added in some replacement products for anything retired in my projects. All the DSP I used is retired and the gold wink of stella has as well as the garden green enamel dots.
