Twisted Easel Card #frugaldemo series

Twisted Easel Card

Hello beauties! Today I am bringing you a video tutorial with his project as well as my blog post. This project is also part of my one sheet wonder project. It is also a part of my #frugaldemo series. I have used 1 sheet of 12x12 DSP from the Eastern Palace suite.

I am also using up my rich razzleberry and melon mambo from some previous projects and I wanted to downsize those folders a bit.

Measurements -

  • base card - 5.75 inches x 5.75 inches that's 14.5cm x 14.5cm
  • DSP layer - 5.5 inches x 5.5 inches that's 14cm x 14cm
  • white layer - 4.9 inches x 4.7 inches that's 12.5cm x 12cm
  • melon mambo panel - 5 1/8 inch x 1.75 inches that's 13cm x 4.5cm
  • white panel - 4.75 inches x 1 3/8 inch that's 12cm x 3.5cm

Score the cardstock in half to make your base. 5.75 inches that's 14.5cm x 11. inches that's 29cm.

Score on the front from one corner to the other corner as seen in the diagram below. The thin line is where to score and the thick line is where to add adhesive for your DSP layer.

Simply stamp and sponge your whisper white layer however you would like and stick hat onto your DSP with some dimensionals.

Then stamp on the thin whisper white layer the sentiment of your choice and stick that onto the melon mambo thin layer with either tombow liquid adhesive or a dry one. Stick the pink layer to the inside of your card at an angle on dimensionals. This gives your easel something to tuck under so it can stay up on display.

I punched out a lemon stencil with sticky notes so that I could stick it onto my sentiment and make a lemon outline so that when I stuck my glimmer and stamped lemons they would pop against the stamped and sponged border around the cardstock. If you don't have sticky notes or punch out your stencil onto the non sticky part just pop a glue dot on your hand to take away some adhesive and pop then under your stencil. Once finish, gently pull it off and rub your finger over the glue dot and it will come off without ripping your card.

This card I made quite a few mistakes but never give up1 Fix them and keep going because I am still happy with my end result!

Follow your envelope punch board instructions to make a matching envelope of your choice.

I really hope you like this card and I am sorry I haven't explained it well so here is a link to my video tutorial lol - https://youtu.be/CGjAjBfCBb4
