Pootles Design Team Week 4 of 4
Hello World Wide Web! I hope you’re all well.
This is the last project from me as part of Pootles Design Team. I am in LOVE with this project! I am going to be honest and say although I love watercolour backgrounds I am terrible at water colouring as some recent YouTube videos will have shown. But this one is B-E-A-U-tiful.
My A6 cards are always the same style and size.
Base is dapper denim - A4 card cut in half, scored in half. If you use a different size to A4 just do the same method. Cut in half, score in half.
Make the mat 1/4 inch or 1/2 cm shorter and narrower of the base.
Mat piece is basic whisper white
My layer is watercolour cardstock - again cut 1/2 cm or 1/4 inch shorter and narrower of the mat.
I used whisper white for my sentiment and adhered that with dimensionals to add some pop.
Colours used - memento black, dapper denim, rich razzleberyy, melon mambo, peekaboo peach, Craft whisper white ink
Stamp sets - Brightly lit Christmas and Flurry of Wishes
I added some rhinestones to give some bling and some wink of Stella.
Our challenge stamp set was Brightly lit Christmas. I used one of the metal images, sentiment and the baubles from the wreath image to look like snow. My snow is stamped in craft whisper white.
To make my background I simply used a sponge roller and then went over with an aqua painter pen.
I stuck some white card into the inside and stuck down some acrylic shapes to hold up the easel part. To get the easel I scored the front in half and only stuck my layers onto the bottom half. This card still goes into a C6 envelope.
Hope you like this project as it’s absolutely going into my special box of cards I never sell, use or give away.
Lot’s of love
