Gift Box for Charms

Charm Gift Box

Hello gang, today’s post is all about the Christmas DIY gift trend. It would also be a great thing to sell at craft fairs.

I stamped on the lid first with memento black ink using the cookie cutter stamp set.

Base measures - 8 inches X 8 inches or 20.5cm X 20.5cm
Score at - 1 inch, 2 inch or 2.5cm, 5cm on all four sides

Lid measures - 8 1/8 inch X 8 1/8 inch 0r 22cm X 22cm
Score at - 1 inch, 2 inch or 2.5cm, 5cm on all four sides

The box base and lid get cut as seen below. You cut off the outside 3 squares and cut wedges into the fourth square. You do the same to both on all four corners.

Inside piece measures - 5 inches X 5 inches or 13cm X 13cm
Score at - 1/2 inch or 1.5cm on all four sides

The insert gets all four corners cut off and wedge into the rectangle sides as seen below.

I added brads to all four sides that I got from second hand. They are non Stampin’ Up!

I stuck the corners onto each side and folded the flaps down and glued them making the box both sturdy and looking professional.

Then punch holes into the insert for the jewellery or charms to clip on like something from a jewellers.
